Description

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz / 432 g) yellow cake mix
  • Ingredients listed on cake box (usually eggs, oil, water)
  • 2 boxes (3.4 oz each / 96 g total) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups (720 ml) cold milk
  • 1 container (16 oz / 450 g) chocolate frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to cake mix directions (usually 175°C / 350°F).
  2. Prepare and bake cake in a 9×13-inch pan as directed on the box.
  3. Let cake cool about 10–15 minutes.
  4. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly over the entire cake.
  5. Whisk pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Pour pudding over cake, spreading to fill holes.
  7. Refrigerate at least 1 hour to set.
  8. Spread chocolate frosting evenly over the top.
  9. Chill another 30–60 minutes before slicing.
