A delicious yellow cake topped with a creamy vanilla pudding filling and rich chocolate frosting.
Ingredients

- 1 box (15.25 oz / 432 g) yellow cake mix
- Ingredients listed on cake box (usually eggs, oil, water)
- 2 boxes (3.4 oz each / 96 g total) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups (720 ml) cold milk
- 1 container (16 oz / 450 g) chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat oven according to cake mix directions (usually 175°C / 350°F).
- Prepare and bake cake in a 9×13-inch pan as directed on the box.
- Let cake cool about 10–15 minutes.
- Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly over the entire cake.
- Whisk pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Pour pudding over cake, spreading to fill holes.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour to set.
- Spread chocolate frosting evenly over the top.
- Chill another 30–60 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Make sure the cake is completely cool before poking holes.
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of vanilla extract to the pudding mix.
