Description

This easy slow cooker shredded chicken recipe is perfect for meal prep and can be used in a variety of dishes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs chicken breasts (frozen)
  • 1 cup water (or chicken broth)
  • 1 tsp salt (omit if using broth)
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp chicken bullion (or chicken base, omit if using broth)

Instructions

  1. Put breasts in pot with water and sprinkle bullion on top.
  2. Close lid and cook on low heat for 6 hours.
  3. Check internal temp at this time and ensure it has reached 160 degrees F in thickest part of meat.
  4. Shred with 2 forks and lift out with slotted spoon to use in various recipes.
