- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 8 fajita size tortillas
- Desired taco toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, avocado, etc.
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the onion and cook until softened.
- Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned and cooked through.
- Add the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cornstarch, salt, oregano, and garlic powder. Stir to combine.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and the beef broth. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Serve the meat on tortillas with your favorite taco toppings.
