Description

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts (thick and even)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely minced or garlic paste)
  • 1 large lemon (juiced)
  • 1 cup frozen peas (rinsed)
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or dill (optional, for garnish)
  • pinch chili flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C).
  4. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in lemon juice and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add peas to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the lemon-garlic sauce.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs and chili flakes (if using).
  10. Serve warm.
