Description

A delicious and refreshing fruit salad made with fresh strawberries, bananas, and a creamy dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container whipped topping (or homemade whipped cream)
  • 1 cup granola

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Fruits: Wash the fresh strawberries, hull them, and slice them into bite-sized pieces. Peel the bananas and slice them into rounds. If not mixing right away, toss banana slices with a tiny squeeze of lemon juice to prevent browning. Set aside in separate bowls.
  2. Whip Up the Cream Cheese Base: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until fully incorporated and light and creamy. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Fold in the Whipped Topping: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping (or homemade whipped cream) into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Combine Fruits and Dressing: Add the prepared strawberry and banana slices to the creamy dressing and gently fold until the fruit is just coated, taking care not to mash the bananas.
  5. Chill for Perfection: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and the salad to firm up.
  6. Add the Crunch and Serve: Just before serving, sprinkle granola over the top or add it to individual servings to maintain crunchiness. Serve immediately.
