Description

This delicious Garlic Butter Sirloin Steak with Mushrooms recipe brings together tender steak and savory mushrooms in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Pat the steak pieces dry with paper towels. Season the steak with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.
  2. Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the steak pieces in a single layer. Cook for about 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Mushrooms: In the same skillet, add the mushrooms. Let them cook undisturbed for a couple of minutes before stirring.
  4. Add the Garlic Butter: Reduce the heat slightly and add the butter and minced garlic. Stir gently as the butter melts into the mushrooms.
  5. Combine Everything: Return the steak to the skillet and toss everything together until coated in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for another minute to warm the steak through. Finish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the steak for a perfect sear.
  • If you prefer a little heat, don’t skip the red pepper flakes!
