Description

This delicious and nutritious chocolate banana smoothie is a perfect way to start your day or refuel after a workout.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup banana (sliced and frozen)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon Dutch process cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 5 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. The night before, peel the banana, slice into large coins, and place in a plastic bag in the freezer.
  2. When the banana is completely frozen, measure 1/2 cup and add it to a blender, along with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a large glass and drizzle with extra peanut butter if desired. Enjoy immediately.
